Artist's Bio
I am Kimberly Joy, a nineteen year old college sophomore currently residing in Cornelius, North Carolina. I have been perusing photography for over ten years and work with a Canon digital Rebel XS. I am very interested in portraiture and conceptual photos. This site showcases what I believe to be some of my better examples.
One of my photos has been published in the book "We Feel Fine: An Almanac of Human Emotion" by Jonathan Harris and Sep Kamvar.
I also was the lead photographer for my educational Co-Op's yearbook and took all of the student portraits and designed the cover art.
I will attend University of North Carolina Asheville and as of May 2011 I have completed my freshman year. I am pursuing a major in Creative Writing with a Teaching Licensure. I was also accepted to the Honors and Merit Program at Long Island Universty, C.W. Post Campus in New York, but have chosen to stay in state.
I was originally born in Orlando, Florida and then spent seven years of my life in upstate New York. I moved to North Carolina in 1999 and have enjoyed the experience fully.
